The Studio Voltaire is an arts organisation established in 1994 as an artist run space within a group of four run-down industrial and religious buildings in South London. Following an invited competition, the capital redevelopment project creates new artist studio space, renovates the current exhibition space and increases public space, including dedicated learning and event spaces, public garden, cafe and a permanent home for House of Voltaire.

Two new artist commissions are integrated into the architecture. A public WC commission by artists Tom O’Sullivan and Joanne Tatham and a new public garden by Anthea Hamilton.
