Old Mission Hall

New build studio and workshop for the British furniture maker Max Lamb within the Harrow-on-the-Hill Village Conservation Area in West London. The project forms part of a wider site redevelopment, reusing a collection of existing buildings including a Grade II listed Mission Hall by the Arts and Crafts architect Edward Prior, alongside fragments of the 15th Century Pye Court.

The new structure replaces a cluster of 19th Century industrial buildings. It comprises a concrete slab, steel portal frame and Structural Insulated Panel construction enclosed by sinusoidal aluminium cladding to the walls and roof. Daylight and natural ventilation are provided via mill-finish aluminium doors and windows, alongside a patent glazed rooflight.
