A new 3’400 sqm 64-bed structure replaces an existing Victorian carehome on a heavily sloping site in South London. The project was delivered using ISO 19650 Level-2 BIM and modern methods of construction, achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating.

The three story plus basement volume is arranged in an L-shape generating a series of terraced outdoor spaces for use by residents. The building consists of cross-laminated timber structure above a pre-cast concrete twinwall basement. A blue-roof with photovoltaic array manages stormwater discharge reducing the impact on existing mature trees.

Collaboration with WORK/Dara Khera.
